Previously Escape Velocity was part of the 2015 Landmark festival. Some of her Chicago acting credits include Native Gardens at Victory Gardens, Titus Andronicus with Babes with Blades, Adoration of the Old Woman with Urban Theatre Company, Juan Francisco Villa's Don Chipotle, King Lear with Eleusis Collective, and Fefu and Her Friends with Halcyon Theatre. She has an MFA in Acting from the University of Arkansas and studied at the American Shakespeare Center. Debbie is a Southern first-Generation Salvadoreña-American who is in love with theoretical physics. @DebbieBanos

Director Esteban Arévalo Ibáñez

Esteban Arévalo Ibáñez is a bilingual Chicago based director, thrilled to be part of the Chicago Theatre Marathon for the first time. His most recent Chicago credits include Dreamers (arciTEXT 2017: United We Stand), Washed Away (2016 Chicago Fringe Festival), Escape Velocity, (Prologue Theatre Company), and Thundersnow (American Theatre Company). Some previous productions include The Adding Machine (U. of Arkansas MFA Thesis), Tango Through The Revolution (Repertorio Español, New York), The Dumb Waiter (Step One Theatre) and Our Town (Teatro Lunático, Salamanca, Spain). He has a Spanish Major from Universidad de Salamanca, a MA in Performance Arts from Universidad Rey Juan Carlos in Madrid, and a MFA in Theatre Directing from University of Arkansas. He is also an instructor of theater and Spanish at Instituto Cervantes de Chicago, and an Artistic Intern at Collaboraction.
